🌟 june 2025 – Monthly Goal Review

“Discipline isn't a switch you flip—it’s a muscle you train.”


🎯 Personal Goals

  • Don’t die or have near-death experiences
    ✅ Safe and steady. Nothing scary. Good.

  • Enjoy one solo dinner per month
     One solo breakfast, turned out horrible, have to look into it seriously

  • Meditate 10 min on 15 days/month
     No progress
    .

  • Avoid writing to acquaintances <6 months; write 2 letters to self
    No progress

  • Take at least 5 photos/week
    Plenty of pictures, travel calls for pictures isn't it, let's try to continue the streak

  • Limit cheat meals (samosa, biryani, gol gappas) to 1×/week
    Continued eating rubbish, my body is worst ever possible shape right now. Pretty disappointed


🏋️‍♂️ Logging Goals

🏋️‍♂️ Gym 4×/week

8 gym days. 10 days i was not here, so its 8/12 days better than last month still a lot to improve

💪 Pushups/Situps/Planks (Weekly target: 100 pushups, 100 situps, 15 min planks)

    30 push ups  once outside gym

 6 days of plank with 4:30 max, I need to pick this seriously


📱 Screen Time – Goal: Max 2.5 hrs/day

 An average of 4 hours and 25 minutes

I spend around 3 days and 12 hours of my total awake time on the phone which is horrible, thpugh improved marginally


📓 Journal + TODO list – Daily

No progress at all, I will start to blog here back


🏃‍♂️ Running Goals

  • ✅ Run 2 full marathons

    • ✅ Mumbai: Done

    • ✅ Bangalore: Registered

    • 🔜 Hyderabad: downgraded to half


🏃 Half Marathons (Goal: 5; Target Time: 1:40)

  • ✅ Seva Bharti – 1:50

  • ✅ Mindspace – 2:01:49

  • current goal is to reach to my 6 months back potential and take it from there


⏱️ Run 10K in 40 min

Made plans, but i have failed them. I need to take them seriously

📚 Hobby Goals

  • ✅ Watched: Kung fu panda 4, we have a ghost

  • ✅ Reading Interpreter of Maladies, reading hyperfocus, have to start with puzzle 200


🙏 Spiritual Goals

  • Surprise visit to iskon


💰 Financial Goals

  • ✅ Exited part of stocks: Hdfc bank,HUL 

  • ✅ Bought:TCS,ITBEES

  • ❌ No gold investment — Still looking for a way to do it 


🤝 Social & Family Goals

  • ✅ Invested in friendships —  still missing the desired frequency, I will take it up.

  • ✅ Instagram: I am off right now

  • ✅ No forced or one-sided connections

  • ✅ No appearance-based comments

  • ✅ Talking more with mom — relationship improving

  • ⚠️ Not consistent with sister or full inner circle — still working on it


💻 Professional Goals

  • ✅ Started working on system design ideas

  • BhumikVaru.com – Bought the domain

    moved the blog there


🌈 Milestones & Fun Challenges

  • =🔜 Shirtless beach/snow photo — need to lose belly fat

  • 🔜 NMDC Slam prep — not taken seriously yet

  • ❌ Driving — zero action

  • ✅ Played with dogs at home 🐶 — hardly so, so less dogs, Guys where are you

  • 🔜 Shave head — will go spontaneous, maybe Rishikesh

  • ❌ Memorize a poem — pick Kipling’s “If” I promise to write and stick it


🛠️ Life Improvements

  • got pomodoro timer

  • got some more plants which are growing amazingly well

🎉 July Highlights

  • Office trip done

  • Running prep horrible, my body is worst shape ever since i began to measure

  • Eating completely haywire

  • Double monitor now

  • I have green board now


🔁 July Priorities

  1. Set sleep and wake time as fixed : I have been very bad at it now, how long can you avoid not having dicomfort. I will be back with a bang

  2. Gym = still struggling to make it default, but trainer particularly came and complemented that i was killing it today, So makes me hopeful

  3. Daily journaling + TODO list — Starting with it

  4. Track screen time doing

  5. Fix diet — time to protect my body now, no compromise

  6. Phone off by 10 PM- let's get going

  7. Memorize “If” - I will write it and stick it somewhere to learn

  8. Write bi monthly update
  9. Blog more here. and ditch phone
