🌟 May Update of My Goals @2025 🌟

Time to report my progress


🎯 Personal Goals

  1. Don’t die or have near-death experiences
    ✅ No near death situation 

  2. Enjoy one solo dinner (dining out) every month
    ❌ No solo dinners, No solo breakfast. Adding it to todo list 

  3. Meditate for at least 10 minutes on 15 days/month
    Still continuing to suck at it, my screen time and time spent on phone has gone up drastically, I am setting a very managable goal of maximum 2.30 hrs per day now.

  4. Avoid writing to acquaintances under 6 months; write two letters to self
    I didn't write any to myself, this goes on todos list as well. I just went through my college stuff, i used to journal a lot, and maybe that kept me in check.

  5. Take at least 5 photos weekly
    ❌Again very badly done, managed to take three to four intentional pictures

  6. Limit cheat meals (samosa, biryani, gol gappas) to once/week
    ❌ Didn't even mind this, stuffed myself with all the rubbish i could put my hands to, time to course correct


🏋️‍♂️ Logging Goals

  1. Gym at least 4 times/week (unless strenuous run)
    🔸11/30 days (Improved a bit, but still missing the mark. I think i need to make it default instead of choice this is taking headspace too)
    🔸 Body fat ~ % (Didn't measure, and i am sure this metric is haywire now )
    🔸 Body weight: 72.2 kg(Didn't measure, and i am sure this metric is haywire now )
    🔸 Muscle mass: 
    🔸 Eating better (No controll). 

  2. Weekly: 100 pushups, 100 situps, 15 mins of planks

           ❌0, was lazying around at home

  1. Track screen time everyday

🏃‍♂️ Running Goals

  1. Run 2 full marathons
    ✅ Mumbai Marathon: Done
    ✅ Bangalore: Registered
    🔜 Hyderabad: Planned which is going terrible
    ✨ I had been terrible at it, and missed the pacing possibility at nmdc which i wanted so badly, i can't give it up, time to recollect myself

  2. Run 5 half marathons (target: 1:40)
    ✅ Seva Bharti @1:50
    ✅ Mindspace @2:01:49
    🔜 Farmhouse Run
    ⏳ Need to work on timing

  3. Run a 10K in 40 minutes
    🔸 I promised to update the running planning which i failed to do


📚 Hobby Goals

  1. Watch 1 movie weekly
    ✅  watched kung fu panda one more season, and manhunt to Osama bin laden

  2. Bookmark book journey
    📖 Read Millionare fastlane


🙏 Spiritual Goals

  1. Visit a temple once/month (scale to weekly)
    ❌ Didn't go, even when i was home 


💰 Financial Goals

  1. Exit stocks & move to mutual funds
    ✅ partially sold SBI cards, and complete angleone
    🔸Bought cams
    🔸 Bought meta, adobe

  2. Invest in gold
    ❌Still feels bloated


🤝 Social & Family Goals

  1. Invest in friendships
    🔸 Talked to most of them, but not as much as i would have liked

  2. Avoid Instagram forever
    ⚠️ Successfully done this month

  3. No forced/new one-sided connections
    ✅ Right on money, have been consciously careful about it 

  4. Avoid physical appearance comments
    ✅ Doing great here.

  5. Call mom & sister 3 times/week
    🔸 Talking to mom consistently, improved relation there.

  6. Call inner circle monthly
    ⚠️ Not fully consistent—working on it.


💻 Professional Goals

  1. Be a kickass developer & grow GitHub forest
    ✅I started with system design implementations at least

  2. Launch BhumikVaru.com (portfolio + blog)
    ❌ No progress yet.


🌈 Milestones & Fun Challenges

  1. Ask people out without overthinking
     did meet any new person this week, met one around home, was a good guy

  2. Take shirtless pics on beach & snow
    ⏳Been lazy, let's be ultra disciplined and say a good bye to increasing tummy, I can't let my body be in bad shape for laziness, it has to support me entire life

  3. Complete Proclaim Slam runs
    🔜 I have got to prepare for the Nmdc full marathon, it challenging as hell, and i think i have been lazier as double hell

  4. Learn to drive a car
    ⏳ No progress

  5. Play with dogs whenever you can
    ✅ Wow, i had a decent dog time at home, not played a lot, the dog there was a bit lazy, and a bit more old

  6. Shave head & rock the bald look
    🔜 Rishikesh trust me i will be impulsive.

  7. Memorize a full poem
    ❌ I will write down if and stick it 


🛠️ Life Improvements

  1. Don’t buy skinny jeans
    ✅ Done

  2. Upgrade to larger bed
    🔸 Got a new mattress, room doesn't have the space to fit bigger bed

  3. Buy a shoe rack
    ✅ Got it!

  4. Avoid impulse buys on sale
    ✅ Doing great. 

  5. Adopt a skincare routine
    ✨ I totally missed it.


🎉 March Highlights

  • Tough time at home, its partially drowning, atleast borewell setup was accomplished

  • I have been terrible at running totally messed it up, not doing the research runs are gone 

  • Let's get back to the discipline, it wrecking my mental health, start from the sleep time to waking up time, eating clean, working with checklist.
