🌟 April Update of My Goals @2025 🌟

Time to report my progress


🎯 Personal Goals

  1. Don’t die or have near-death experiences
    ✅ I don't remember having any near death experience but I seem to be craving adventure. It made me feel alive. This month the nearest I came was tcs 10k run where i ran with a bloated and overeaten stomach. I need to involve some element of fear that makes me breath deeply. 

  2. Enjoy one solo dinner (dining out) every month
    ❌ No solo dinners, No solo breakfast. Yes, I seem to be missing on this part as well. Too much home bound, time to break the shackles. Adding to my todo list 

  3. Meditate for at least 10 minutes on 15 days/month
    Let's start doing it, I totally sucked at it. 0 is the last months count.

  4. Avoid writing to acquaintances under 6 months; write two letters to self
    ✅ waiting for 6 month window, I didn't write any to myself, this goes on todos list as well.

  5. Take at least 5 photos weekly
    ❌Again very badly done, didn't take intentional pictures. I feel like not living in the moment currently. Something gripping me close.

  6. Weekly: 100 pushups, 100 situps, 15 mins of planks
    πŸ”Έ 1 day of plank and pushups apart from gym. Sucked at it, taking it on todo list

  7. Limit cheat meals (samosa, biryani, gol gappas) to once/week
    ❌ Didn't handle this one well, Bangalore added more fat to my belly, didn't regulate it well too. I hold myself responsible for it. I will come back stronger.


πŸ‹️‍♂️ Fitness Goals

  1. Gym at least 4 times/week (unless strenuous run)
    πŸ”Έ6/30 days (No doubt I feel so terrible)
    πŸ”Έ Body fat ~18.5% (Down here as well)
    πŸ”Έ Body weight: 72.2 kg(Increased weight too 😭)
    πŸ”Έ Muscle mass: 33 kg
    πŸ”Έ Eating better (less rice/wheat). 


πŸƒ‍♂️ Running Goals

  1. Run 2 full marathons
    ✅ Mumbai Marathon: Done
    ✅ Bangalore: Registered
    πŸ”œ Hyderabad: Planned which is going terrible
    ✨ Dipansh had a heart attack while running, since the day maybe i have been spooked or lazy, but i am not running its making me feel terrible.

  2. Run 5 half marathons (target: 1:40)
    ✅ Seva Bharti @1:50
    ✅ Mindspace @2:01:49
    πŸ”œ Farmhouse Run
    ⏳ Need to work on timing

  3. Run a 10K in 40 minutes
    ❌ Last full-effort 10K: 51 mins. in TCS 10K, below my expectation. Time to lace up.

  1. Watch 1 movie weekly
    ✅  watched kung fu panda with harsh I loved it

  1. Visit a temple once/month (scale to weekly)
    ❌ No visits yet.

  1. Exit stocks & move to mutual funds
    ✅ Sold and re-entered MAFANG, Sold ITBEES, and partially sold HDFC bank
    πŸ”ΈTaking help from Akshat creating new positions
    πŸ”Έ Subscribed to Akshat community & opened IndMoney Account

  2. Invest in gold
    ❌Still feels bloated


🀝 Social & Family Goals

  1. Invest in friendships
    πŸ”Έ Didn't talk a lot, been doing really bad here

  2. Avoid Instagram forever
    ⚠️ Successfully done this month

  3. No forced/new one-sided connections
    ✅ Right on money, have been consciously careful about it 

  4. Avoid physical appearance comments
    ✅ Doing great here.

  5. Call mom & sister 3 times/week
    πŸ”Έ Talking to mom consistently, improved relation there.

  6. Call inner circle monthly
    ⚠️ Not fully consistent—working on it.

  1. Be a kickass developer & grow GitHub forest
    ✅I have been deadass lazy, starting it over

  2. Launch BhumikVaru.com (portfolio + blog)
    ❌ No progress yet.


🌈 Milestones & Fun Challenges

  1. Ask people out without overthinking
    ✅ ??

  2. Take shirtless pics on beach & snow
    ⏳Been lazy, starting back to it.

  3. Complete Proclaim Slam runs
    πŸ”œ TCS 10K done, not good but showing up counts too. Let's finish Delhi and Kolkata in style.

  4. Learn to drive a car
    ⏳ No progress

  5. Play with dogs whenever you can
    ✅ Ohh my dogs, where are you. I missed you so much the entire month. I sat today evening just to watch dogs video

  6. Shave head & rock the bald look
    πŸ”œ Rishikesh please call me soon. Let's just take a break and fly away, i now know long term plan is wrecking it. I will just go impulsive on it.

  7. Memorize a full poem
    ❌ Not started but let's make it more precise, it will be if ...

  1. Don’t buy skinny jeans
    ✅ Done

  2. Upgrade to larger bed
    πŸ”Έ Got a new mattress, room doesn't have the space to fit bigger bed

  3. Buy a shoe rack
    ✅ Got it!

  4. Avoid impulse buys on sale
    ✅ Doing great. 

  5. Adopt a skincare routine
    ✨ I totally missed it.


πŸŽ‰ March Highlights

  • Bangalore trip, being there always helps mentally

  • I have been terrible at running totally messed it up, not doing the research runs as well

  • Getting Insurance for mom. 

  • Getting back to myself is the priority for the month. I hope to come back with more satisfying reports this time. I am sorry for being so late to write this one. I wish to get back to writing as well, waking up and sleeping on time too.
